  • If the divisor is x+2, then a = -2
  • If  the divisor is 2x-3, then a =\(\frac{3}{2}\) 
  • If the divisor is 2x+3, then a = \(\frac{-3}{2}\)
  • If a polynomial p(x) is divided by x-a, then the remainder is p(a).
