A noun can be defined as the name of a person, animal, place or thing.
There are four kinds of noun namely, proper noun, common noun, collective noun and abstract noun.
Nouns like country, river, person, class, army can be counted. So they are called countable or count nouns.
Nouns that cannot be counted or generally represent a group are called uncountable nouns.
