Overview

A congenital abnormality is any abnormality in form, structure, or function that occurs during fetal life. Some of these are minor and only cause minor issues for the child or parent, but others necessitate daily attention. A congenital disorder, also known as a congenital disease or birth defect or anomaly, is a condition that exists at or before birth, regardless of the cause. Among these diseases, those characterized by structural deformities are referred to as "congenital anomalies," and they involve defects in a developing fetus. Cleft lip (hair lip) / Cleft palate, Hydrocephalus, anencephaly, microcephaly, Spinal Bifida, omphalocele, Clubfoot, congenital dislocation of the hip, Imperforated anus, Esophageal atresia, duodenal atresia, umbilical hernia, Hypospadias and epispadias, Down's syndrome, patient ducts arterial are types of congenital anomalies.

Types of congenital anomalies:

  • Anencephaly, hydrocephalus, and microcephaly
  • Spinal Bifida, omphalocele Clubfoot, and congenital hip dislocation
  • Anus imperforate
  • Esophageal atresia, duodenal atresia, and umbilical hernia are all examples of atresia.
  • Phimosis, unexplained testicular enlargement
  • Epispadias and hypospadias
  • Down syndrome
  • Patient ducts and arterioles, as well as pyloric stenosis
