World Vision

World Vision is a Christian nonprofit organization that provides aid to those in need and fights for the rights of children, families, and communities across the world. As an organization, World Vision helps individuals of all faiths, ethnicities, and genders. In 1950, World Vision was founded in Korea to help children left without parents as a result of the Korean War. After gaining traction in those countries, the initiative moved to others in Asia and eventually to almost a hundred more.

World Vision International (WVI) Nepal has been fighting for the welfare of children since 2001, collaborating with communities and government bodies in some of the most remote locations of different districts of Nepal. World Vision International Nepal (WVIN) has been a child welfare organization that has partnered with locals in 14 districts across Nepal over the years. Achham, Doti, Jumla, and Kathmandu are just some of the 11 districts where WVIN's development initiative is now at work. Udayapur, Sindhuli, Sunsari, Sindhuli, Kailali, Lamjung Morang, and Lamjung Himal are some of the other mountains in the region. WVIN provided emergency help and later led recovery operations in the worst-affected districts of Bhaktapur, Dhading Delha Gorkha, Kathmandu, Lamjung, Lalitpur, Nuwakot, Sindhuli, and Sodhupalchowk after the terrible earthquake devastated Nepal in April and May 2015. WVIN is currently working in Gorkha, Sindhupalchowk, and Nuwakot districts to help families bounce back and strengthen their resilience with interventions in the areas of livelihoods, shelter, and infrastructure, and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH).

• Agriculture & Economic Development Technical Programm
  • Promote savings groups for financial management to help individuals and small businesses improve their management and financial standing.
  • By encouraging collaboration and interaction with the market and service providers, you may increase sales volume and pricing.
  • Boost output both in quantity and quality by adopting more market-driven manufacturing techniques.
• Disaster Risk Management Programme
  • Help locals identify and assess potential hazards.
  • Create local disaster risk management plans and coordinate their implementation with relevant parties (LDRMP).
  • You should incorporate DRR (Disaster Risk Reduction) into your lesson plans and classroom activities.
• Education Technical Programme
  • Change the way schools operate by sending teachers to reading camps and updating course materials.
  • Check that schools have a plan in place to deal with disasters and that students can feel safe in their classrooms.
  • Encourage learning at home and help girls and boys learn for the rest of their lives by getting the community involved.
  • Give people the tools they need to keep tabs on local schools and push for better resources.

Maternal, Child Health, and Nutrition

• Participation in mothers' groups has been shown to enhance the demand for antenatal care among pregnant and nursing women and to improve maternal nutrition.
• Outreach and assistance for pregnant and nursing moms to improve newborn and young child feeding practices.
• Care for acute respiratory infections, diarrhea, and other common pediatric diseases.

Nepal Innovation Lab

The Nepal Innovation Lab (NLab) is the heart of Kathmandu Valley. This shared office space allows for the invention, testing, and eventual scaling of innovative responses to pressing humanitarian and development issues. To aid in the national recovery plan and encourage the humanitarian and development sectors to provide more efficient, high-quality, and community-driven solutions, World International Nepal launched the Nlab in 2015. Most of the time, those who are directly impacted by a crisis are involved in the creation of innovations conceived at the NLab.

Protection Technical Programme:

• Reduce harmful customs through enforcing regulations from the national to the local level to stop child marriage and Gender Based Violence (GBV).
• Engage community and religious leaders in preventing harmful customs, and work to strengthen and maintain the effectiveness of institutional protection structures.
• Adolescent groups are a great way to help young teenagers hone their life skills.

Youth Development:

• Create youth organizations and use the SKYE club's economic empowerment lessons to help young people succeed in the workforce.
• Help young people develop a business strategy, manage a company, or map out a path to professional success.
• Help young people find work, get community support, and develop their professional abilities.
