Staff Nurse level or class is Non-gazetted 1st class.Responsible to ward sister, assistant matron, and matron and Responsible for ANM and supporting staff.She is responsible to provide direct nursing care applying nursing process. Supervises ANM and co-worker gives health education to patients relatives and help a sister in ward management.The clinical activities of staff nurse are to arrives in time and takes handover of patient bed to bed, carries out assigned job given by sister ward in charge, plans and provides the basic care according to the priority needs of the patient,maintain personal hygiene of patient to prevent infection, gives medicine and injection incorrect procedure eg. transfusion, IV infusion and so on.The other activities of staff nurse includes counseling activities,research activities, educational activities and evaluation activities.Reports critical patients conditions promptly to be concerned person in verbal and written.Establish good IPR and keeps contact with all subordinates, co-workers, students, patients and visitors to obtain cooperation for effective delivery of patient care.
